Alpha Phi Omega Life Member

Alpha Phi Omega is the single most represented co-educational intercollegiate service organization in the United States. Since 1925, more than 525,000 members on over 375 campuses, continue to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization.
It is the vision of Alpha Phi Omega to create inclusive communities for a more peaceful world in which to make a life, by developing leaders, uniting members through friendship and rendering service to all.
This statement is the North Star for everything we do. Our students, volunteers, elected leaders, professional staff and partners are asked to unite under this vision and seek ways to support its achievement.
This is essential to the longevity, impact and effectiveness of Alpha Phi Omega. Re-examining our purpose, values and how we engage future leaders and provide service. As well as examining what the future might hold for our organization and its members, is critical to continue sharing the Cardinal Principles into the next 100 years.
Alpha Phi Omega teaches through the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service that we are architects of our own ambitions and that each of us has the opportunity to develop ourselves to be whatever we seek to be.
Alpha Phi Omega offers our members opportunities to engage in leadership development, service and fellowship with one another. We recognize that our Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service are not only equal, but are important parts of a comprehensive fraternity experience that develops our members in community-focused, interrelated, and holistic ways that will serve them throughout their lives. This is the unique value of membership in Alpha Phi Omega.
American Red Cross (National Capital Region) Loudoun and Prince William County Sheltering Chapter Coordinator / Shelter Supervisor (MC/SH/SV

Each year, the American Red Cross immediately responds to about 70,000 natural and man-made disasters in the U.S., ranging from fires to hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents and explosions.
People count on Red Cross volunteers to help them in their darkest hour. In turn, the support of donors makes it possible for the Red Cross to fulfill its humanitarian mission. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations who invest their volunteer time and financial resources in the Red Cross.
When the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region volunteers respond to a disaster, their initial relief efforts focus on fulfilling 5 key activities:
• Sheltering
• Feeding
• Emergency Operations Center Liaison
• Disaster Assessment
• Fundraising & Public Affairs
Through casework management volunteers, we also provide community resources, financial assistance, disaster counseling, health-related and reunification services to clients both during and after a disaster.
Our local Disaster Response Teams are volunteers who provide front-line disaster relief services to people impacted by disaster by working in conjunction with community partners to support relief operations.
